About Tim Wood
Hello everyone, my name is Tim Wood and I am American Paranormal Investigator, and author, who researches and investigates hauntings, demons, and ghosts. I grew up in the small suburb of San Carlos just outside of California where I experienced paranormal activity on daily basis. These paranormal experiences shaped me and continue to drive my lifelong passion for the paranormal.
Education
In 1998, I attended school at UC Davis and studied history. It was during this time that I started to explore haunted locations and started my journey to document my, and others’ paranormal experiences using the latest in high-tech equipment. After college, I joined numerous paranormal groups which included: 2004 – 2006 Bay Area Paranormal Investigations, 2005 – 2008 Sonoma Paranormal Investigations(2005 – 2010), Bay Area Society for Paranormal Research (2005 – 2013), and currently San Francisco Paranormal Investigations.
In 2004 I started studying parapsychology under Lloyd Auerbach. Taking classes under the mentoring of Lloyd Auerbach laid the foundation for how I investigate the paranormal. Today much of my investigations involve experiments that are based on how we perceive paranormal activity so that I can better understand and document it.
Tim Wood and livescifi.tv
In 2006 I created livescifi.tv, which is a platform I use to livestream my paranormal investigations over the internet to millions of people. One of the main reasons why I developed livescifi was because there was no platform at the time where I could share, and document paranormal activity live. I still think that capturing paranormal activity live can be one of the ultimate tools for validation during a paranormal investigation.
Our first live stream was in 2007 at the Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco on Justin.tv. To our surprise, thousands of people tuned in and the investigation and the broadcast were a success. Since then we have streamed on Yahoo!, YouTube, Ustream, and done broadcasts for Dickies, Time Warner / Machinima, and Dread Central.
